Arsenal have done better business by signing Alexandre Lacazette than Manchester United - Clarke

Former Arsenal midfielder Adrian Clarke has suggested that Arsenal have done better business by signing Alexandre Lacazette than Manchester United, who are believed to be on the verge of clinching Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
On Thursday, BBC Sportreported that United have agreed a £75m fee with Everton for the Belgian forward, who had been heavily linked with a return to former club Chelsea. The leak is likely to have come from United sources because shortly after the news was widely reported, Sky Sports Newsclaimed that senior Everton sources had informed them that a deal had not been agreed. Despite that, it seems as though a transfer is on the cards, with The Guardianreporting that Lukaku has had a medical and will join up with his new teammates for their pre- season tour in the United States on Sunday. If everything runs smoothly, the Belgian will join Jose Mourinho’s side, bringing with him a 25-goal haul from last season. Down in North London, Arsenal made the biggest signing of the summer so far earlier this week when they recruited Lacazette from Lyon for a reported club-record £52m. Clarke believes that the Frenchman is a much better option than Lukaku, who he believes does not fit into United’s current style of play. He told talkSPORT:
