Real Madrid has confirmed that defender, Dani Carvajal has been diagnosed with an injury to the semimembranous muscle of his right leg ahead of the team’s away Champions League semi-final clash with Chelsea on May 5 at Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid made this known in a statement on their official website on Thursday.
Zinedine Zidane’s side had played a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first-leg on Tuesday in Spain.
The statement read, “After the tests carried out today on our player Dani Carvajal by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he was diagnosed with an injury to the semimembranous muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution.”
Real Madrid is currently in the second position on the LaLiga table with 71 points from 33 games.
Zidane’s men will host Osasuna in the LaLiga on Saturday May 1 before the Chelsea clash.
