By  Julius Ebrene.

As Peoples Democratic Party, PDP inches closer to it's National Convention slated to hold on May 29, 2022, there are strong indications that confirms that Mr Udom Emmanuel may emerge candidate of the Party.

The result came on the heels of the intensive survey and reviews done after the different Aspirants embarked   on a massive lobbying spree in order to galvanize support for the Presidential Ambitions   by two Pan-Nigerian groups; Inter-Party Presidential Consensus Forum, IPCFand Build A New Nigeria Initiative, BANI.

If the positive political opinion review of delegates and opinion moulders is true , then the Investment Banker turn Politician may emerge the Preffered Aspirant in the forthcoming primary Election and subsequently the candidate of PDP in the forthcoming General Elections

Briefing members of the groups, the National Cordinator, Inter-Party Presidential Consensus Forum, IPCF Abubakar Danladi on Thursday 19th May, 2022 disclosed the latest development during the group's meeting in Abuja, as being that, the decision of majority of the delegates is not far from settling for a Southern Presidential Candidate and the baton falls on the table of Udom Emmanuel.

In a related  development, the National Cordinator of Build A New Nigeria Initiative; Dr Chris Okon confirmed same position  during the Group  meeting in Uyo on Friday, 20th May, 2022, meaning that the Udom's emergence as the Preffered Aspirant may be true.

In their separate briefings, the duo of Abubakar and Okon boldly informed the members who attended the meetings in Abuja and Uyo respectively that, their conclusion on the possible emergence of Akwa Ibom State Governor as the preferred aspirant and subsequent Candidate of PDP, is base on the intensive survey and reviews independently done  across board, in search of the best choice of aspirant that will best reflect the collective Aspiration  of Nigerians and the  Peoples Democratic Party,PDP.

Abubakar  stated:  "Our Survey and reviews have shown good result and the result favours Mr Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.

For Build A New Nigeria Initiative, their position is hinged on their concern about a future president that can take Nigeria away from the current precarious Economic and Security Conundrum.

The National Cordinator of the Group  Dr. Chris Okon said;

"So, our resolve to massively mobilize block votes for him during the forthcoming elections, both primary and general elections, is predicated upon our assessment on his person, which indicated that he has a composed personality, god-fearing character, enormous capacity to revive the ailing Economy, increase power generation capacity, unify Nigerians while simultaneously stimulating human capital and infrastructural development.These, he has proven by being able to successfully establish and efficiently managed Ibom Air, the Orange magic of the state, Syringe, Coconut and Flour mill factories amongst others, remodelled Educational and Health institutions,Ibom Tropicana, Ibom Deep Seaport and Industrial Park/Jetty, Gas processing Plants and Power distribution stations amongst other remarkable signatures of development".

Explaining further, he  hinted that, "Considering the decision of the National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP to adopt consensus as one of the options and most preferred choice of selecting his candidates at the Primaries for the forthcoming elections and the faultless result of the survey and reviews of the possible stance of majority of the delegates and electorates across the six geopolitical zones and 36 states of the Federation, it has been confirmed that majority of the delegates across the nation have unanimously settled for the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel.

The two groups in their separate statement have called on the Nigerian Populace never to make a mistake that will cost the collective future of Nigeria, especially the lives of the unborn Children.
