As the countdown to the end of the 'eight years two term tenure' of Governor Emmanuel continues with more than seven years already spent with a record of visible developmental strides across board, it is indeed plausible to hand him a higher responsibility.
Responsibility of replicating the diversification model of the Akwa Ibom State's Economy at the National level.A replicated model that will make Nigeria less dependent on Oil, instead begin to reap bountifully from other sources of revenue such as a revitalized Nigeria Airways, revived moribund and new industries, repackaged Health Institutions, Education and other social and economic institutions and infrastructure.
However, having seen the remarkable acceptance Gov. Udom Presidential ambition has enjoyed from different quarters , there is no doubting the fact that naysayers have been on the prowl looking for non existent gaps in the widely celebrated achievement of Udom Emmanuel seven year old Administration of Akwa Ibom State.
One may ask, what will be the gain in doing so by this set of people?My guess is as good as yours which Is NOTHING.Absolutely, Nothing.
So far, their defective narratives can not often stand the taste of time because truth will always be like the sun. One can only shut it out for a time being.The more they continue in their mischief, the more the Presidential support base swells, the aspiration gains unanimous Endorsement, his consultation visits records more acceptance across board and the deal to make a wealth creator, an Economic diversification advocate, a Peace Crusader and the believer of the Nigerian Unity project, the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, receives national approvals.A President who is neither a religious nor ethnic chauvinist. A President who has towering credentials and record of leadership feats across the various sectors that directly affect human existence.A President who will effect a paradigm shift in the leadership engagement at all levels of government.
Today, their ignorance of absolute truth has humbled them before men of candour with reality check of recorded feat in the nexus of development in the state as attested by many Nigerians who have not ceased from pouring encomiums on Mr Emmanuel either during their visits to the states or during the consultation visits to them. That is why, Sir John Mgbede of Benue State, Senator Zainab Kurr Niger State, Chief Austin Nnamani of Enugu State, Solomon Aguana of Bayelsa State, HE Jonah Jang of Plateau State amongst others, chorused their resolve to lead their respective delegates to queue behind Gov Udom Emmanuel at National Convention Venue with their support and blocked votes that Nigeria may emerge victorious because his Victory will be that of Nigeria.
Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Senate President Ammed Lawan, Gov Seun Makinde, Gov Nyesom Wike, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, confirmed the outstanding performance of Mr Udom Emmanuel.Former Heads of State, Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalam, also have confirmed same while giving presidential blessings during the consultation visits.
Let's support Gov. Udom Emmanuel to restore Nigeria to the path of prosperity. This is the time to build not time to find fault.
