Activities have commenced in build up to the final laying to rest of Late Mrs. Dinah Edmond Eyo - mother to the wife of the creator of #ArtMostSphere, premium DJ, certified International Protocol Expert, and showbiz aficionado, Dollie Popman.
First off was the Service of Songs held in her honor, an event christened "The Home Going" held on Thursday evening at Presbyterian Church, Uyo Cathedral, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo.
The deceased was a Midwife in St. Lukes Hospital, Anua, where she had the privilege of the tutelage of the famous Dr. Ann Ward of blessed memory, the Irish nun who was a renowned specialist in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Mma Dinah rose to the rank of Nursing Sister in December 1984 and became the Matron of the hospital in March 1988, a position she held until her retirement on July 31, 1997.
Dinah served diligently and was commended by both contemporaries and superiors. Dr. E T. Akpabio. Dr. J B. Mbaba, Dr. Usen E. Uwah, Specialist for Pediatric Surgery, all held her in high esteem for her professionalism, superb level of discipline and devotion to duties.
She breathed her last at about 7:25pm at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, from complications arising from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Described by DJ Dollie Popman as 'The best mother in-law, and one who did not only preach peace, but also lived in peace with everyone, Dinah's remains will be interred on Friday, July 22, 2022, in Okat, Onna LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
