It is a truism that Gov Udom Emmanuel has consistently demonstrated that having contributed so much to the emergence of the state as the second economic hub according to National Bureau of Statics, NBS, no stone should be left unturn in ensuring that, there is absolute security for human lives and Properties.
It is this secure environment and conducive atmosphere that necessitated the growth of small and medium enterprises and the influx of foreign Direct Investment which makes the state to be ranked second in Nigeria.
While business men and women, farmers, traders, school children and politicians can no longer go about their normal lives and activities in several states in Nigeria, More influx of unhindered investors, traders, Entrepreneurs and other visitors have thronged into Akwa Ibom as their most preferred destination for the past seven years due to Gov. Udom Emmanuel strategic management of security architecture in Akwa Ibom State.
For this reason, the cherry news is that, Akwa Ibom state prides itself as one of the very few states in Nigeria that it's residents and citizens enjoy relative peace, courtesy of a Government that is awake to its primary responsibility of guaranteeing the protection of lives and properties of citizens, Visitors and residents.
Although the state sparingly experience few pockets of security breaches, but the proactive deployment of a Multifunctional and multidimensional security strategic management model, which involves a well established Uncompromised security Network architecture that creates room for synergy amongst a Special Joint Security Force Team and Government officials as well as members of the public who make available, the required and desired information for quick response, in addition to the patrol vehicles and other support facilities made available, remains a novel approach to ending insecurity.
As an additional strategy, a good number of Youths drawn from across the state were sent on Training on Community policing and today, those Youths have been gainfully engaged as Vigilante Officers who help in unraveling the hideouts of the dreadful agents while doing their bit in protecting the various communities. This and many other sub approaches have ensured that the circumference of the state is completely wired with safety as many investors indicate much interest to key into the Industrialisation drive of the state.
Apparently, Governor Udom Emmanuel has shown commitment, passion and capacity as a 21st century leader by successfully investing so much energy and resources in this modern model, in a bid to rescue Akwa Ibom State from the hands of the men of the underworld who hitherto derived joy and monetary fortunes from the spate of insecurity challenges that they orchestrated. And so, this model is exportable to Nigeria's largely torn out north eastern, North Central, North Western, South Western and South eastern region of the country for the possible solution to the insecurity wrecking the zones.
The Security Operatives drawn from all paramilitary units for this task, have shown doggedness, dexterity and corporation as a refined and professional agents, as well as members of the public who have shown patriotism in their reportage of any incident or revelation of their hideouts. The synergy amongst the trio have respectively played a pivotal role in achieving the security feat which has placed the State on a pole position as one of the few most secured states.
And so, Nigeria and Nigerians need His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel to replicate this security template at the Federal Level, so as to restore normalcy in all parts of the nation. From Northeast down to Southwest, then North Central to Southeast down to the North West, bandits, Boko Haram, Kidnappers, IPOB, will be history with Gov. Udom Emmanuel Security model.
PDP stakeholders and Delegates owe first their consciences, Nigeria and posterity to decide firmly for a man that will connect back Nigeria to the global economic production space so that Nigeria can end this wasteful consumption syndrome.
